SAP Solution Sales
Configuration
End-to-end implementation of configurable product selling — from complex bundle quotations in SAP Commerce to order processing in SAP S/4HANA, powered by SSC and integrated via SAP Cloud Integration.
Companies we’ve worked with
Configure and sell complex products the way enterprise buyers expect
SAP Solution Sales Configuration (SSC) is the cloud engine that makes selling configurable, multi-component products manageable at scale. Think of products that are not a single SKU - but a bundle of hardware, services, subscriptions and contracts, each with its own rules, pricing and eligibility logic.
SSC sits at the intersection of your commerce channel, your quoting process and your core ERP. A well-integrated SSC implementation turns what is often a fragile, manually-driven quotation flow into a reliable, self-service capable experience - for both internal sales teams and external B2B buyers.
NSP has built and deployed this integration end-to-end: from the commerce storefront where a buyer interacts with the configurator, through the middleware layer that orchestrates system communication, to the ABAP layers in S/4HANA that close the order.
We did not learn SSC from documentation - we built it from the inside
Our team was an active development partner for the SAP Solution Sales Configuration project run by SAP's own headquarters. This means we have first-hand knowledge of design decisions, integration patterns, and real-world edge cases that no partner certification alone can provide.
SAP Sales Service Configuration
We design and implement the full integration flow connecting SAP Commerce, SAP SSC, SAP CPS, and SAP S/4HANA. This includes dedicated iFlows on SAP Cloud Integration, Cloud Connector configuration, and the ABAP layer in S/4HANA that handles both quotation creation and order processing for complex Solution products.

ABAP Development for S/4HANA
The heart of the integration lives in ABAP. We migrate and re-architect existing SSC logic from SAP NetWeaver on-premise to cloud-connected architecture - including embedding SSC cloud screens directly inside the SAP GUI in S/4HANA, re-wiring existing interfaces, and adapting business logic to support the new configuration flow.
SAP Commerce Development
We extend the SAP Commerce platform to support SSC-driven configuration: custom extensions and modules for the configuration UI, Composable Storefront (Spartacus/Angular) development for the customer-facing configurator experience, Impex-based data setup for complex product structures, and custom screens for the back-office management of Solution products.

Configuration POC & Solver Optimization
Beyond standard configuration, we have proven expertise in running proof-of-concept work for constraint-based product configuration - including use of universal constraint solvers (Google OR Tools) to reduce dependency on SAP SME pfunctions. This approach significantly reduces custom code and improves long-term maintainability of complex configuration models.

Real challenges from client projects - how we saw them and how we approached them. No theory, straight from the workshop.
From discovery to go-live
SSC implementations fail when the integration is treated as a handshake between two separate projects. We treat the entire landscape - commerce, middleware, ERP - as a single delivery.
The success of an SAP SSC implementation depends on how the engine integrates with the rest of your ecosystem. At NSP, we combine technical expertise with a direct understanding of "Order-to-Cash" business processes. Our team focuses on translating complex product configuration rules into functional logic that works across the entire landscape.
We do not deliver siloed solutions. Every stage of our process - from architecture mapping to iFlow optimization - is designed to build a scalable environment that reduces order errors and cuts time-to-market. We take responsibility for the integrity of the full solution, ensuring that the code in the middleware aligns with the requirements of the ERP and Commerce layers.
We have established a methodology to identify and mitigate project risks early. We focus on the known bottlenecks in SAP Commerce and ERP integrations, resolving technical conflicts before they impact the production environment.

Step 1
Discovery & Landscape Assessment
We map your current product portfolio, existing ERP configuration, and commerce channel setup. Output: integration architecture decision record, gap analysis, and project scope.
Step 2
Integration Architecture & iFlow Design
We design the SAP Cloud Integration middleware flows connecting all systems - SSC, CPS, Commerce, and S/4HANA - and define the ABAP extension strategy for the ERP layer.
Step 3
Development & Configuration
Parallel development tracks: Java/Angular on Commerce, ABAP on S/4HANA, iFlow implementation on SCI. Impex data setup and configuration model build in SAP SSC.
Step 4
Integration Testing & Go-Live
End-to-end testing across all systems with real product data. Parallel-run period, user training, and monitored go-live with hypercare support post-launch.

The delivery model involves 4 key points, it is focused on effective communication, continuous improvement, and clear roles and responsibilities.
- Team Preparation – named and fixed resources dedicated to the project
- Knowledge Transfer & Alignment – onboarding, getting to know each other, common calendar, common knowledge
- Service Delivery – SLA, daily standups routine, JIRA ticketing, priorities
- Retrospective – every 3 weeks joint improvement session
Many of SAP products are targeted to medium and large companies, however we do not restrict ourselves with company size and we always treat seriously and professionally any cooperation proposals.
Most projects are estimated individually. Please contact us to request an estimate for one of our ready-to-go packages, or to schedule an assessment phase. The assessment phase includes a workshop to evaluate the development stage and define the project scope, followed by planning sessions for time and cost estimation, and ends with a solution presentation workshop.
